NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grants (DDIGs)

November 10, 2011

For those of you who aren’t aware, the National Science Foundation offers Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grants that help you buy materials, travel, pay participants, etc., for your dissertation. For example, here is the call for the Social Behavioral, and Economic Sciences and here’s the one for the biological sciences. (There are others. I just have those links handy.)

Different disciplines have different due dates, but some of them are coming up in January. I got one of these grants (linguistics) myself, and I’m happy to help (by appointment) with preparation. Note that your thesis adviser is listed as the PI, and the student is only the co-PI, so submissions go through OCGA, not OGS.
